Listening to the Voices of Autistic Young Women in Jimboomba & Wider Area
8 Sep 2025
AQ is launching a new project designed to listen and learn directly from autistic young women aged 15–24 in the Jimboomba, Beaudesert, and Flagstone areas.

The project will focus on the real experiences of friendship, social connection, and community. We want to listen and learn from your real experiences. To do this, we are creating small, comfortable sessions where participants can share openly in a safe and supportive space. Sessions will be held in Jimboomba, Beaudesert, and Flagstone areas (with the venues to be advised upon application). Additionally, online sessions may be held, subject to demand. Each session will be facilitated by autistic women, ensuring that lived experience is at the heart of every conversation.
-
Small sessions with just 8 participants.
-
A supportive environment to share what works, what doesn’t, and what’s most meaningful to you.
-
Facilitated by autistic women, for autistic women.
-
Light refreshments at face-to-face sessions.
-
$50 payment to eligible participants for their time.
Sessions are open to autistic women aged 15–24 living in Jimboomba, Beaudesert, and Flagstone.
-
Face-to-face sessions: Late September 2025
